Sound Recordist Teams

Here is how this works in practice. We field skilled sound recordists who run the production sound department from the tech scout to wrap. Crewed from our Belgrade base, our recordists have captured sound on global features and series for more than a decade, mixing multi-channel recorders, managing radio-mic plots and directing boom operators so edit receives clean, ordered tracks. On the scout they assess acoustics and noise, plan timecode sync with the camera department, and advise the production on how location choices affect dialogue.

Here is the short of it. During the shoot the recordist mixes live, monitors every channel, captures wild tracks and room tone, and writes detailed sound reports that carry through to post. For studio work at PFI Studios near Simanovci they manage controlled acoustics across the stages; on location they adapt fast to changing conditions. We crew the full department, supply recorders, microphones and radio systems through our Belgrade base, and supplement from the wider region for multi-unit or large-scale productions.

Belgrade sits at the confluence of the Sava and Danube, with PFI Studios a short drive away near Simanovci and locations ranging from period interiors and the Kalemegdan fortress to the lanes of the bohemian Skadarlija quarter and the hard surfaces of New Belgrade. The temperate inland climate brings four distinct seasons, so a recordist plans for wind across the Vojvodina flats, summer insect noise and the damped acoustics of winter snow.
